One winning contestant will walk away with $3,000 cash and a marketing startup package which includes website development, professional photos and promotional video production.
All presenters will get the opportunity to introduce their ideas to and meet members of the Niagara Angel Network. Contestants must be legally able to claim the cash prize.
The winner will also be automatically advanced to the IGNITE Niagara community pitch competition and will be able to compete for $10,000 cash and a bundle of business services worth $30,000.
At least one contestant must be a current student at any Ontario college or university. Entries can be done on an individual or team basis. Teams are required to appoint a team representative (primary applicant), who will be responsible for submitting the entry form and serving as the team’s main contact for matters related to the contest.
The idea/venture must be the brainchild of one/several of the team members.
Each contestant must consent to the use, reproduction, publication, transmission and/or broadcasting of his/her name, address, likeness, school, age, program and/or prize information, without compensation, in any advertisement, publication or promotion, for general news or other information purposes. Winners must also consent to their photographs being taken by the contest organizers for the same purposes, without further compensation.
